Solution

Concept: 1 Mark
Application: 2 Marks
Answer: 0.5 Mark each

Let the number of Ten-rupee coins that Ram has be x. Then the number of two-rupee coins he has is 5x.

The amount Ram has:

(i) from 10 rupee coins, 10×x=10x

(ii) from 2 rupee coins, 2×5x=10x

Hence the total money he has, =20x

20x=100

x = 5

Thus, number of Ten-rupee coins =x=5

and number of two-rupee coins =5×5=25

Total money
=(5×10)+(25×2)=Rs.100
