Third floor

Given that Ram is in the eighth floor.

If he goes three floors down, he would be in 8 - 3 = 5th floor.

Now, if he goes 2 floors further down, he would reach 5 - 2 = 3rd floor.

Alternate method:
Note that Ram goes down a total of 5 ( 3 + 2) floors. Thus, he would be on the third floor as 8 - 5 = 3.
