Question
Ram's school is 4000 m away from his home. How many kilometres did he travel to go and return from the home?
Open in App
Solution
We know that,
1 km = 1000 m
or
1000 m = 1 km
So,
4000 m = 4 × 1000 m
= 4 × 1 km
= 4 km
So, Ram coverss 4 km to go to his school and to return, he has to cover 4 km again.
In total, Ram covers 4 km + 4 km = 8 km
