Then, salary credited fixed deposit plan

Balance $=x-\frac{3}{20}x=\frac{17}{20}x$
Expenditure on groceries $=30\%$ of $\frac{17}{20}x=\frac{51}{200}x$
Balance $=\frac{17x}{20}-\frac{51x}{200}=\frac{119x}{200}$
Given, $\frac{119x}{200}=2380$
