Ramesh has ₹ 80,
Cost of notebook = ₹ 60
Cost of pen = ₹ 30.
So, total money needed
= ₹ 60 for notebook + ₹ 30 for pen
= ₹ 90
Hence money he needs to borrow = Money he has - total cost
₹ 80 - ₹ 90 = - ₹ 10 (negative sign means he needs to borrow).

Thus, he needs to borrow ₹ 10 from his mother.
