$\therefore$ Profit sharing ratio = $12x:9x=12:9=4:3$
Let Capital be $Rs.P$
Profit of Ramesh = $\frac{4}{7}P$
Profit of Mahesh = $\frac{3}{7}P$
According to the question
$\Rightarrow \frac{4}{7}P=\frac{3}{7}P+1000$
$\Rightarrow \frac{4}{7}P-\frac{3}{7}P=1000$
$\Rightarrow \frac{P}{7}=1000\Rightarrow P=Rs.7000$
