Shivalik range is a part of the sub-mountainous regions of Punjab. It consists of the Kasauli range and the Outer Himalayas as well. This region spreads from the east of river Jhelum, north of Ropar and Ambala, lower hills of Kangra, northern regions of Hoshiarpur and Gurdaspur, Sialkot and Gujrat districts. Its height ranges approximately from 308 meters to 923 meters.
