Question 100
Rana has 6 14 kg of cotton wool for making pillows. If one pillow takes 114 kg, how many pillows can she make?
Given Rama has 614 kg of cotton for making pillows
i.e.614kg=(6×4)+14=24+14=254 kg
Where one pillo we can be made from 1 14i.e.114kg=(1×4)+14=4+14=54kg
∴ Number of pillows=Total quantity of cotton availableCotton used in one pillow=(254)(54)=254×45=255=5
[because division is reverse of multiplication]
