Solution

Total oranges = 540
Let the total number of students be x.
Orange each student gets will be 540x
If 30 more students are there so, the total number of students will be x + 30
Number of oranges per person will be 540x+30.
If 30 students were more each would get 3 oranges less = 540x-3
540x+30 = 540x-3
3=5401x-1x+301=180x+30-xxx+301=18030x2+30xx2+30x=5400x2+30x-5400=0x2+90x-60x-5400=0xx+90-60x+90=0x-60x+90=0x=60,-90
But number of students cannot be negative so, the number of students is 60.
