For the greatest number of trees, Rashi needs to find the largest number which is divisible by 54 and 27 both.

This can be done by finding the Highest Common Factor (HCF) of 54 and 27.

54= 2 × 3 × 3 × 3

27= 3 × 3 × 3

So, the HCF will be 3 × 3 × 3 =27

Therefore 27 trees can be planted in each row.
