Amount paid monthly = ₹1500
Total amount paid in 18 months = ₹1500 x 18
we can multiply 15 and 18 first then add two zeros at the end.
$$\begin{array}{ccc}\times & 10& 5\\ 10& 10\times 10=100& 10\times 5=50\\ 8& 10\times 8=80& 8\times 5=40\end{array}$$
By adding all the individual multiples and adding two zeros at the end we will get the total amount
= 100+50+80+40
= ₹270
Adding two zeros will make it ₹27000
$\therefore$ Rajni paid ₹27000 to the bank for 18 months.
Since she paid ₹3000 extra money so the loan amount is
= ₹27000 - ₹3000
= ₹24000
