Rasika has 12 balloons. She gave half of them to her friend Anisha and half from the remaining to Nidhi. How many ballons did she give away effectively?

Rasika initially had 12 balloons.
Number of balloons she gave to Anisha =122=6 ballons.
After giving half of the total number to Anisha, she had = 12 - 6 = 6 balloons.
Afterward, she gave half of the remaining to Nidhi.
So, the number of balloons she gave to Nidhi is
=62 = 3
So, the number of balloons left with her = 6 - 3 = 3 balloons

According to the unchanging relation,
1263=12(6+3)=129

So effectively Rasika had given 9 balloons in total to her friends.
