$=\frac{1}{2}\times Base\times Height:Base\times CorrespondingHeight$
$=\frac{1}{2}\times NO\times OQ:MP\times OQ=\frac{1}{2}\times NO:NO$ $[\because NO=MP]$
$=1:2$
Hence, the required ratio is 1 : 2.
