Ratio of present age of mother and daughter is 8:3 years five yers after ratio of their ages will be 9:3 find their present age

Let ratio be x of their present age
then age of mother = 8x
age of daugther = 3x
after fives years age of mother = 8x+5
after years age of daugther = 3x+5
Accroding to question ,
8x+5 : 3x+5 = 9:3
8x+5:3x+5 = 3:1
8x+5= 3(3x+5)
8x+5= 9x+15
8x-9x = 15-5
-x = 10
x =-10 which cannot be possible as age cannot be negative
Please check if there is some mistake in your problem.
