We can separate them in various ways.
Sugar is soluble in water.
Ravi took a beaker and added the mixture to it and then added water to it.
After stirring for some time the sugar was dissolved in the water. And then the beaker was kept undisturbed for some time so that the pieces of stone settled down. After that, we pour the water into another beaker.
Then we started heating it.
Once the entire water was evaporated, we got sugar as a residue in the beaker.

So in this separation process, the various methods involved are sedimentation, decantation, and evaporation.
