Solution

Given, for first article
S.P=Rs4,500
Profit =25 %
Now, with this S.P. and for Profit % =S.P.C.P.C.P.×100=25 %

=>4,500C.P.C.P.×100=25

=>4,500C.P.=0.25C.P.
1.25C.P.=4,500
=>C.P.=Rs3,600
And for another article,
S.P=Rs4,500
Loss =25 %
So, Loss % =C.P.S.P.C.P.×100=25

=>C.P.4,500C.P×100=25

=>C.P.4,500=0.25C.P.
=>0.75C.P=4,500
=>C.P.=Rs6,000
Thus C.P. of 1st article =Rs3,600 and C.P. of 2nd article =Rs6,000
