The correct option is C 10 km
As per the given statement,
Ravi starts from A and moves along the route A-B-E-C-D
D is the finishing point and to calculate AD:
we have BE = EC = (6/2) = 3 km
so using Pythagoras theorem, in the ABE:
AB2+BE2=AE2
42+32=AE2
AE=5 Km
Similarly, in ECD,
ED = 5 km
and AD = AE + ED = 5 + 5 = 10 km
