and present age of Ravish = y years

Their ages seven years ago will be

Aarushi $=(x-7)$ years

Ravish $=(y-7)$ years

Also their ages three year from now will be

Aarushi $=(x+3)$ years

Ravish $=(y+3)$ years

According to question

$y-7=7(x-7)$ and $y+3=3(x+3)$

$\Rightarrow y-7=7x-49$ $y+3=3x+9$

$\Rightarrow 7x-y-42=0$ $3x-y+6=0$
