The correct option is A0.8 cm Due to insertion of glass plate/slab, the image will get shifted by amount s in the direction of the incident ray on the slab.
Normal shift due to refraction from slab, PP′=s=0.3 cm
Since the surrounding medium is air, using formula for normal shift, ⇒t(1−1μ)=0.3 t(1−11.6)=0.3 t(0.61.6)=0.3 ∴t=0.8 cm
