The correct option is B If both assertion and reason are true but reason is not the correct explanation of the assertion
As gravity of the Moon is very less then the Earth (16th of the Earth), so escape velocity of the Moon is much less when compared to the escape velocity of the Earth, so gases in the atmosphere is completely escaped from the Moon. And gravity depends on mass of planet, not its volume.
