During DNA fingerprinting, when the membrane with DNA fragments is exposed to X-rays, the characteristic dark bands become visible on the X-ray film corresponding to the areas of hybridisation. This is called autoradiogram which contains bands having different lengths of DNA due to cleavage of DNA by restriction endonuclease.
The band pattern varies from individual to individual. Thus we can conclude that statement I is true.

Band patterns in the autoradiogram of fraternal twins will also be different as they develop from two different eggs which get fertilized by different sperms. Hence, they do not have the identical DNA. So, statement II is false.

The non-coding region in our genome does not code for proteins. So, the mutations in non-coding regions are not likely to impair an individual’s reproductive capacity. These mutations keep on accumulating generation after generation, and form one of the basis of variability/ polymorphism. Hence, statement III is correct.
