Polyblend is a fine powder made of modified plastic. This was mixed with bitumen (a component used in road building) and used for road construction.

Polyblend enhances bitumen’s water repellant properties; it increases the road life by a factor of 3.

Polyblend technique developed by Ahmed Khan was used by year 2002 for laying down 40km road in Bangalore.
