Absorption of fats is different from the other nutrients as they are macromolecules and insoluble in water. Infact the micelles of fat coated with protein are reassembled into triglycerides and absorbed through lacteals into the blood and travel around the body supporting the cells and organelles for function. This makes absorption of fats different from the absorption of glucose and amino acids (these are absorbed directly into blood either by Active or Passive transport).
