Solution

The correct option is B i - T, ii - F, iii - T and iv - T

Semi-dwarf wheat varieties from International Maize and Wheat Improvement Centre, Mexico were used to develop several other varieties such as Sonalika and Kalyan Sona, which were high yielding and disease resistant. These varieties were introduced all over the wheat-growing belt of India such as Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) developed these two semi-dwarf high yielding varieties of wheat in 1963 from CIMMYT Mexico.
