Silk is a natural fibre obtained from the cocoons of the silkworm. It is also called proteinaceous fibre because it is made of two specific proteins i.e. fibroin and sericin. It is smooth and has a unique natural lustre.

Nylon is a synthetic fibre prepared from chemicals.

Cotton and jute are natural fibres obtained from plants. Since they are made up of cellulose, they are called cellulosic fibres.

Therefore, all three characteristics given in the question are that of silk fibre.

Hence, the correct option is (b).
