Feedback inhibition is a type of enzyme regulation which occurs when end-product of a pathway accumulates as the metabolic demand for it declines. Compound A is reactant while Compound B, C, D and E are products of the above pathway. The above regulation mechanism occurred because the final product of a sequence of enzymatic reactions accumulated in abundance i.e. any compound except A as A is the reactant and not the product.
