Statement (i) is true but statement (ii) is false.

(i) The air compressed in the tires applies a pressure on the car. This pressure is enough to lift the weight of the car. It is for this reason that when a tire gets flat, the body of the car near the flat tire moves down, closer to the ground as the force applied by the flat tire will not be sufficient to lift the car.

(ii) The air around us is a mixture of gases, such as nitrogen, oxygen, argon, carbon dioxide and water vapour. But is also contains dust particles and other solid pollutants.
