Solution

Dear student.

A forest has different flora and fauna along with trees, all these live in an ecological mix by means of nutrient cycling process. Destroying a forest permanently destroys the habitat of different species, this disturbs the natural nutrient cycle. Disturbing a forest does not only mean the loss of trees alone but also the collapse of an ecosystem. Planting only trees cannot restore the nutrient cycle.
