India and the US signed an Inter-Governmental Agreement for exchange of Country-by-Country (CbC) reports of multinational companies regarding income allocation and taxes paid to help check cross-border tax evasion.

This agreement for exchange of CbC reports, along with the Bilateral Competent Authority Arrangement, will enable both the countries to automatically exchange CbC reports filed by the ultimate parent entities of multinational enterprises (MNEs) in the respective jurisdictions, pertaining to the years commencing on or after January 1, 2016.

भारत और अमेरिका ने आयकर आवंटन और सीमा पार कर अपवंचना की जांच में सहयोग हेतु भुगतान किये गए करों से सम्बंधित विदेशी कंपनियों देश-दर-देश (CbC) रिपोर्ट के आदान-प्रदान के लिए एक अंतर-सरकारी समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए।

द्विपक्षीय सक्षम प्राधिकार व्यवस्था के साथ सीबीसी रिपोर्ट के आदान-प्रदान के लिए यह समझौता,दोनों देशों को 1 जनवरी 2016 को या उसके बाद शुरू होने वाले वर्षों से संबंधित संबंधित न्यायालयों में बहुराष्ट्रीय उद्यमों (एमईएन) की अंतिम मूल संस्थाओं द्वारा दायर सीबीसी रिपोर्ट का स्वचालित रूप से आदान-प्रदान करने में सक्षम करेगा।
