Sir
Subject- Regarding deteriorating condition of children residing in villages of India

Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to bring to your notice the condition of children living in Indian villages. I recently visited my native village and was almost shocked to see the children in the age group 5-14 (the age at which they should have been at school) remained at home, were working in the fields or simply loitering in the streets. All this is because of the poor financial conditions of the families of these children. They hardly earn their bread and butter and that’ why they are not able to send their children to school. The authorities should take some serious steps to improve their condition. Free primary education facility should be provided to the students and scholarship schemes should also be announced so that they get attracted towards education. I hope the authorities would take some steps to save the future of our country. Yours Sincerely Navita
