Number of elephants in both reserves in 2002 = 42 + 28 = 70
Number of African elephants = 70×40100=28

Number of elephants in both reserves in 2004 = 44 + 56 = 100
Number of African elephants 65% of 100 = 65

Required difference = 65 – 28 = 37
