Siberian Huskies are animals adapted to live in the extreme cold weather of Siberia. Therefore all the features or adaptations of a husky are similar to those of any other animal seen in the polar and extremely cold regions. For example, the tundra wolves which share a common ancestry with them, have a very interesting double - barreled defense between the biting winds and their skin. They have both a fur coat and a thick undercoat. The overcoat is thick and long. Underneath, the soft fur near the skin creates another layer of trapped air warmed by body heat. An animal such as the siberian husky or the tundra wolf would be out of place in any other biome apart from the Tundra.
