It is also called a mixed gland or Heterocrine gland as it has Exocrine parts called Acini, which secretes Pancreatic juice and Endocrine parts called Islets of Langerhans, which secrete hormones like Insulin, Glucagon and Somatostatin. The latter statement has nothing to do with its size.
