Here the equation of the straight line is
$\frac{i}{i_{0}} + \frac{t}{t_{0}} = 1$ using $\frac{x}{a} + \frac{y}{b} = 1$ formula
or $\frac{i}{i_{0}} = 1 - \frac{t}{t_{0}} \Rightarrow i = i_{0} [1 - \frac{t}{t_{0}}]$
