Solution

Force:

  1. In mechanics, any action tends to maintain or alter the motion of a body or distort it.
  2. A force is nothing but it can change the motion of the object.
  3. It is also used to push or pull the object.
  4. It has both magnitude and direction.

The formula of force in terms of mass and acceleration is:

F=ma

F = force

m = mass of an object

a = acceleration

Relationships between force and other units:

  1. The S.I. unit recognized for the measurement of the force is the newton.
  2. Force can be expressed in other units also. In the metric system, the force is estimated in kilogram-force and is denoted by the symbol kgf.
