Solution

Dear student,
Removal of PCT from the nephron will result in more diluted urine. This is because proximal convoluted tubule is that part of nephron where maximum amount of electrolytes or high threshold substances like water, ions, glucose, amino acid etc are reabsorbed from the renal tubule back to the blood. It involves the reabsorption of large amount of water by osmosis, glucose and amino acid are reabsorbed by secondary active transport, sodium and potassium ions are reabsorbed by primary active transport. Thus, if PCT is removed, the reabsorption of water would be affected and hence, more would be the diluted urine.
