Represent the following graphically and explain a bit about the representations:
(i) An object at rest
(ii) An object moving with uniform speed
(iii) An object moving with non-uniform speed

Solution
i). An object at rest will give no movement on graph along distance axis with the increment in time as shown in graph (a).
ii). An object moving with a uniform speed will cover equal distance in equal time intervals, thus a linear graph as shown in graph (b).
iii). An object with non- unifrom speeed will have unequal distance travelled in equal time intervals, thus it will be curvy or non-straight line as shown in graph (c).
