The enzymes and their synthesis are ceased when the concentration of their product becomes high. Such enzymes are called repressible enzymes and the end product is called as a corepressor. Whereas aporepressor is produced by regulator gene which unites with corepressor to form a functional repressor molecule. This repressor molecule inhibits mRNA synthesis by all genes specifying enzymes.
