Why hot soups or any type of hot foods are restricted to put in plastics ?

If the food is hot enough to melt plastic it's probably too hot to eat. What leaches into the food or not in normal use depends on the temperature and the plastic. But you don't have to worry about any food-safe plastics in normal use.
Use caution with microwave ovens. Not all plastics are microwave safe. Though the biggest danger from melting the plastic there is the mess it will make when everything leaks out.
