  1. Optic nerves are the nerves of the sense of sight. The optic nerve fibers originate in the retina and converge to form the optic nerve.
  2. In the case of the ears, the auditory nerve is responsible for the sense of earing. It carries the signal to the opposite side of the brain, left ear to right hemisphere, right ear to left hemisphere.
  3. The iris forms the colored part of the eye, which controls the levels of light. The round opening in the center of the iris is called the pupil.
  4. It is photosensitive and is embedded with tiny muscles that widen and narrow the size of the pupil depending on the light which is present or not
