Open in App
Solution

Arrange the number in descending order:

Rule 1- A numeral containing more digits represents a greater number.

Rule 2- If the two numerals contain the same number of digits, we compare them by their left most digit. if the left most digits are also same , we compare them by their next digits from the left, and so on.

In this question all the numerals have same number of digits, also the left most digit of all the numbers are same.

Now we compare second left most digits of the numbers we get-

9>5>4

3954,3945>3594,3549>3459

Now, we will compare 3954,3945 and 3594,3549, though second left most digit is same in these numbers we need to compare these numbers by comparing third left most digit.

We get 5>4 and 9>4.

Therefore, 3954>3945 and 3594>3549.

Hence, the final arrangement will be 3954>3945>3594>3549>3459.
