Solution

The correct option is A

corms

Rhizome is a fleshy, non-green underground stem. It has distinct nodes and internodes. A corm is a condensed form of rhizome that grows vertically. It is more or less spherical with a flattened base. It serves as a storage organ used by some plants to survive winter or other adverse conditions such as summer drought and heat. Adventitious roots arise either from its base or all over the body. Examples- colocasia, corcus, Amorphophallus.

A stolon is a sub-aerial stem modification growing horizontally above the ground. A bulbil is a special multicellular body essentially meant for reproduction. In Agave the floral buds are modified into bulbils. These bulbils get detached, come in contact with the soil and develop into new plants.
