Solution

Addition of decimals:

Length of cloth for salwar =2.5m

Length of cloth for shirt=3.75m

Length of cloth for dupatta =3m

The total length of the cloth =2.5+3.75+3

At first, we convert the given decimals to like decimals as 2.50,3.75,3.00

Writing these decimals in a column form by aligning decimal points, we get

2.503.75+3.00______9.25______

Hence, The total length of the cloth =9.25m
