Rice is now being sold at Rs 30 per kg. During last month its rate was Rs26 per kg. Find by how much percentage must a family reduce its consumption to keep the expenditure fixed?

Old price=Rs 26 per Kg.
New price=Rs 30 per Kg.
Increase in price =Rs 4 per Kg.
Increased percentage =426×100=20013%
Now, reduction in consumption, so as to keep the expenditure fixed,
According to formula, (a100+a)×100
wher a=20013
20013100+20013×100=13.33%
