Fraction of savings spent on car repair $= \frac{1}{3}$
Fraction of savings left after car repair $= 1 - \frac{1}{3} = \frac{2}{3}$
Fraction of savings spent on groceries $= \frac{3}{5}$ of $\frac{2}{3}$ of savings $= (\frac{3}{5} \times \frac{2}{3})$ of savings $= \frac{2}{5}$
Fraction of savings spent in total $= \frac{1}{3} + \frac{2}{5} = \frac{5}{15} + \frac{6}{15} = \frac{11}{15}$
