Option (b), Melamine [0.5 marks]
Plastics which, once moulded, cannot be softened on heating are called thermosetting plastics. Bakelite and melamine are a few examples of thermosetting plastics.
Melamine resists fire and can tolerate heat to a large extent. It does not deform on heating. Hence, it is used for making floor tiles, kitchenware and fabrics which resist fire.
