Rita has 15 coins in denomination of 25 paise and 50 .if the amount with her is ₹5 find the number of coins of each denomination with her

let no. of 25paisa coins be x and 50paisa coins be y then we have,
x+y=15........1
now their total value is 5rupees i.e 500 paisa
no. of 25 paise coins = x
no. of 50 paise coins = y
25x+50y=500 paisa.....(2)
from the equation number (1)
y=15-x
Then equation number (2) become
25x+50(15-x)=500
25x+750-50x=500
750-500=25x
That is
25x=250
Therefore
x=10
we have y=15-10
y=5
Therefore number of 25 paisa coin is 10
and number of 50 paisa coin is 5
