Question

Rivers and canals are _____ waterways

Open in App
Solution

Dear student,

Rivers and canals are "channels" of waterways.
Rivers are known to be natural waterways and canals are the artificial version of a river, that is why canals are also called artificial waterways.
The main difference between canal and river is that canal is designed and constructed for irrigation, power generation, and other human needs whereas a river is a nature's gift to a man.

Regards.
