Question

RNA polymerases in eukaryotes show division of labour. Substantiate.

Open in App
Solution

In eukaryotes, there are three different RNA polymerases. RNA polymerase I transcribes rRNA. RNA polymerase II transcribes mRNA. RNA polymerase III transcribes tRNA, 5srRNA and snRNA. Hence RNA polymerases in eukaryotes show division of labour by getting involved in the transcription of the different types of RNA.
