Number of Candies bought by Robert = 15
Number of friends = 4

Fraction of candies each friend got = $\frac{\text{Number of candies bought by Robert}}{\text{Number of friends}}$

$=\frac{15}{4}=\frac{12+3}{4}=\frac{12}{4}+\frac{3}{4}=3+\frac{3}{4}=3\frac{3}{4}$

Each friends would have got 3 Candies intially and the remaning 3 candies will be distributed equally among four of them ($\frac{3}{4}$) .
Hence, each of Johnny's friend would have got $3\frac{3}{4}$ candies.
